We inspect the roof, photograph the damage and write up an estimate for the repair or replacement. You can share it with your insurance company. The claim itself is between you and your insurer.
The Texas Department of Insurance spells out a few rules for roofing and insurance. A roofing contractor can’t act as a public adjuster or negotiate your claim for you. It’s illegal for a contractor to waive, rebate or absorb your deductible, and roofing contracts of $1,000 or more that are paid by insurance must include a written notice about the deductible rule.
